Our Signature Publishing Package
Self-publishing a book has over 150 steps, if you take the most streamlined path. At Merack Publishing we complete all of these steps and more in our signature package to save you the time, energy, and stress. We look after the publishing, so that you can continue to focus on being a thought leader and furthering your impact.
All manuscripts submitted to Merack Publishing are reviewed by our experienced editorial team prior to being accepted for publishing.

Submit your manuscript
Our editorial team will read through your manuscript and confirm that it has received both developmental and copy editing to Merack Publishing's standards.
Manuscripts that need further editing
Manuscripts that need further editing support prior to publishing will receive feedback, and you will need to make the necessary changes before submitting your manuscript again. We do NOT provide developmental, substantive, or copy edits — those steps need to be completed before the onset of the project.
Manuscript approved
Manuscripts that receive approval from our editorial team are able to progress to our boutique Signature Publishing Package below.
Our Signature Publishing Package includes the production, publishing, and upload of all versions (Paperback, Hardcover, and eBook) of your book for worldwide distribution and sale through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Ingram, and other trade outlets.
Our process is broken into the below three phases, and includes project management and strategy throughout. The publishing process is four months.
Phase 01
01. Pre-Production
- Development and refinement of your book title and subtitle
- Custom, high-end front cover design
- Custom, high-end spine and back cover design
- A custom, sales-focused synopsis for your back cover and retail listings
Phase 02
02. Production
- Custom interior layout with text treatments and image/graphic insertions
- Spine calculation and custom templating for all print formats and all distribution channels
- Title metadata setup and management on Amazon and Ingram for all formats
- Unique ISBN and barcodes for each format of the book
- Library of Congress Control Number issuance
- File preparation, both for e-publication and for print on demand
- eBook conversion for submission to Kindle
- Assistance with determining best and final pricing
- A printed proof copy for quality assurance
- Submission for print on demand live distribution through Amazon and Ingram
- Title listing in Ingram's catalog
- Title data assigned to your ISBNs for all versions
Phase 03
03. Post-Production
- Selection and optimization of Amazon categories to best position the book for Amazon Bestseller ranking
- Selection and optimization of BISAC codes and keywords
- Registration with both Library of Congress and the U.S. Copyright Registration
- Print cost and author compensation summary sheet by format and distribution channel
- Set up of tax and royalty distribution channels for both Amazon and Ingram
- Delivery of an Account Summary sheet sharing all login details for all accounts
- If corrections or updates are needed after publication, our team can facilitate the process of making these changes and uploading new files to Ingram and Amazon. This will be billed to the author directly. Please reach out to our team with any changes, and we can provide you with a custom quote.
